Course Description

 

Heart & Stroke's course for healthcare professionals. Majority of Canadian healthcare organizations exclusively recognize Heart & Stroke's BLS certification for ACLS and PALS.

 

This is the fundamental course for all healthcare and emergency medical care providers, intended to help you improve patient outcomes. You will learn single-rescuer and team basic life support skills with a focus on high-quality CPR and team dynamics in a wide variety of prehospital or in-facility settings.

 

Successful students will be awarded a BLS Provider eCard valid for 1 year. Printed wallet cards may be requested at extra cost.

IMPORTANT

Students must have proof of a Heart & Stroke BLS Provider certification that is valid (NOT EXPIRED) prior to signing up for this course.

 

If you have an expired certification OR have a current BLS card from another training agency, you must either:

Attend a full course OR complete the BLS Provider Renewal Prerequisite Challenge.

A minimum of three (3) students is required for a class to proceed. If the minimum enrollment requirement is not met, you will be offered the option to reschedule to another available class date or receive a full refund.
