Basic Life Support (BLS) is designed for healthcare providers, trained first responders, and individuals enrolled in healthcare training programs.The course focuses on the recognition of life-threatening emergencies, high-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), effective ventilations, early use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), and team-based resuscitation.
BLS training is intended for healthcare professionals, trained first responders, and healthcare students who may be required to perform CPR or other basic cardiovascular life support skills.This may include nurses, nursing students, physicians, paramedics, respiratory therapists, personal support workers, and other healthcare professionals or students.If you are unsure whether BLS is the correct certification for your workplace or academic program, we recommend confirming the specific certification requirements with your employer or school before registering.
The BLS Provider course is the full course intended for individuals obtaining BLS certification or those who do not meet the requirements for a renewal course.BLS Renewal is a fast-paced course designed for experienced healthcare providers who regularly use or maintain their resuscitation knowledge and skills.Students are responsible for registering for the appropriate course and meeting all applicable renewal requirements.
Students must successfully complete all required course components, skills assessments, and evaluations before certification can be issued.Certification processing is completed through the applicable Heart & Stroke certification system. Please ensure the name and email address provided during registration are accurate.
Please bring valid government-issued photo identification and any documentation required for your registered course.BLS Renewal students should ensure they meet all applicable renewal prerequisites before attending.You may also wish to bring a water bottle and any personal items you may require during the class.
You do not necessarily need previous professional healthcare experience to complete the full BLS Provider course.However, BLS is specifically designed for healthcare providers, trained first responders, and individuals enrolled in healthcare training programs.The BLS Renewal course is intended for eligible students with previous BLS training and current resuscitation knowledge and skills.
Students must have proof of a Heart & Stroke BLS Provider certification that is valid (NOT EXPIRED) prior to signing up for this course. If you have an expired certification OR have a current BLS card from another training agency, you must either: Attend a full course OR complete the BLS Provider Renewal Prerequisite Challenge.
Students who arrive more than fifteen (15) minutes after the scheduled class start time will not be permitted to attend the remainder of the class.Late students who are denied entry are not eligible for a refund or rescheduling.We recommend arriving early to allow sufficient time for parking and check-in.
Yes. Cancellation requests submitted at least three (3) days before the scheduled class date are eligible for a full refund.Cancellation requests received within three (3) days of the scheduled class date are not eligible for a refund.All cancellation requests must be submitted by email to info@apexmedicaltraining.com.
Yes. Rescheduling requests must be submitted at least three (3) days before your scheduled class date.A $10 rescheduling fee applies to student-requested rescheduling.Requests received within three (3) days of the scheduled class date are not eligible for rescheduling.To request a class change, please email info@apexmedicaltraining.com.
Yes. A minimum of three (3) students is required for a class to proceed.If the minimum enrollment requirement is not met, students will be offered the option to transfer their registration to another available class date or receive a full refund.No rescheduling fee will apply when a class is changed by Apex Medical Training due to minimum enrollment requirements.
In the event that a class is cancelled or rescheduled by Apex Medical Training due to instructor illness, severe weather, facility issues, minimum enrollment requirements, or other unforeseen circumstances, affected students will be offered a transfer to another available class date or a full refund.
